Mission

Our mission is to help B2B product teams treat design as infrastructure, so they ship faster and build products people trust.

Vision

We design and launch AI-ready design systems with B2B SaaS teams that compete on product quality.

Manifesto

By Frederick Andersen, founder.

I started EDL in 2021 to design great pixels. We still do. Look closely at anything we ship and you will see it.

But pixels were never the point. Somewhere around the sixth product team we worked with, I noticed a pattern. The products that held together were not the ones with the best screens. They were the ones that treated design as infrastructure. Something the product stands on, not a deliverable handed over at the end.

That changed how we work. When we join a team, we actually join it. We sit in the standups. We push back on the roadmap when it needs pushing. We care about your support queue and your release cadence, because that is where design shows up in the numbers.

And it does show up. One client shipped 48% faster once their design system stopped fighting them. Another cut support tickets by 23% in six months. Same features, same complexity. Better decisions, made earlier.

That is the philosophy. Design as infrastructure. Built with your team, not handed to it.

Non-negotiables

  • Embedded, not outsourced. We join your standups, your Slack channels, your planning sessions. There is no us and them.

  • Prototypes over slideshows. We would rather show you a coded prototype than a polished slide deck.

  • Research-backed. User testing is part of every phase, not a box we tick at the end.

  • B2B software only. Enterprise tools, SaaS platforms, complex admin consoles. Not consumer apps, not marketing websites.

  • Built for the long run. We work on retainer because meaningful product change does not happen in a two-week engagement.

Positioning

  • Core claim: a design engineering studio that owns the design-to-development handoff.

  • Primary differentiator: a local, embedded Copenhagen team. Engineers who design and ship code.

  • Proof points: 86% design system adoption, 48% faster shipping, 23% fewer support tickets.

  • Market belief we stand behind: a design system that is not machine-readable is already behind.

  • Tagline: Copenhagen’s top B2B design system specialists.
